Fukushima city rice started being served for school lunch, “will serve if it’s under 20 Bq/Kg”

On 1/22/2013, Fukushima city started serving local rice for school lunch. They are to serve rice produced in Fukushima city if it’s under 20 Bq/Kg. All the schools will serve local rice by the end of this month.
MAFF permits rice planting even in the evacuation zone in order to keep farmers motivated. (cf, MAFF permits rice planting in evacuation zone [Link1])
In early January, 208 Bq/Kg of cesium was measured even from rice produced in Miyagi prefecture. It turned out at least 39 tones of the rice from contaminated farm were already shipped out to the metropolitan area etc.. Le 22 janvier 2013, la ville de Fukushima a commencé à servir du riz local dans les cantines scolaires. Ils vont servir du riz produit dans la commune de Fukushima s’il fait moins de 20 Bq/kg. Toutes les écoles vont servir de ce riz vers la fin de ce mois-ci.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
