Detectable amount of WBC in Fukushima is 300 Bq/Kg

Even though  a Fukushima citizen wants to know how much is the internal exposure of their own children, they can’t have a proper result of WBC in Fukushima. Of course it costs money.

A Fukushima citizen tweeted like this below.

The detectable amount of WBC served at hospitals in Fukushima is 300 Bq/Kg. If it’s lower than 300 Bq/Kg, all the results turn to be ND. At the bottom of the sheet, it reads. In case of that it doesn’t go over 100mSv, increase of cancer rate is not confirmed.

In Fukushima, even if you pay money, you only receive this sheet of paper like a joke.

A 12 years old child had a WBC in a hospital of Fukushima. The results were all under 300 Bq/Kg and represented to be [0].  says, “Estimated internal exposure for the rest of your life is 0.00 mSv.”

According to the study of Yury Bandazhevsky, organs and organ systems of an infant are significantly affected by radionuclide taken into body, if it’s over 50Bq/Kg.

Only 10Bq/Kg of radionuclide causes abnormal metabolic process especially for cardiac muscle. Among children in Homiel, 11~26Bq/Kg of radionuclide taken into the body caused 60% of them abnormal electrocardiogram. 37~74Bq/Kg of it caused 90% of them abnormal electrocardiogram.
600Bq/kg of cesium was measured in the heart of an infant died in Belarus in 1997. 100Bq/Kg was measured from an adult. As an example, 45.4 Bq/Kg of cesium was measured from a 43 years old adult who had sudden death, diffuse myocytolysis, heart fibromyalgia, and significant rupture of chordae tendineae were observed.

Also, in October and November of 2011, Japan Atomic Energy Agency conducted radiation check for children under 15 years old and parents of 0~3 years old infant living around Kanazawa elementary school of Nasu Shiobara of Tochigi.
They checked cesium attached to the surface of body with survey meter and internal exposure with WBC.
As the result, none of the 71 people who had the radiation check turned out to be positive.
However, the detectable amount was 270 Bq/Kg for cesium 134, 300 Bq/Kg for cesium 137.

About this site

This website updates the latest news about the Fukushima nuclear plant and also archives the past news from 2011. Because it's always updated and added live, articles, categories and the tags are not necessarily fitted in the latest format.
I am the writer of this website. About page remains in 2014. This is because my memory about 311 was clearer than now, 2023, and I think it can have a historical value. Now I'm living in Romania with 3 cats as an independent data scientist.
Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
