[Column] Post office seems more generous about PoBox than I thought

Having all of us exposed to radiation, Japanese government is imposing more and more restrictions on us.

They are going to introduce “women’s note” system, and the bill of “My number system” passed the House of Representatives today.

Instead of taking necessary measures to minimize the health problems, they are starting to regulate us and making it more difficult for us to get out of Japan.

Indeed, they can not afford to pay compensation. Now telling the truth is strictly prohibited in the name of the prevention of harmful rumor.

After the major disaster, the country misses the way to go and starts turning inward. This is what has been historically repeated.

The situation would be worse and worse.

I will be the last one to stop resisting. They won’t like me. I’m a logical person. I don’t accept anything irrational whoever imposes it on me.

This is why I’m in Romania now. This is my pride. I’m not their farm animal.

It had a kind of risk to announce my location, but I thought it’s more meaningful for me to report how actually it is in Romania so some people might want to come here as well.

Additionally, I posted the address of the PoBox of Fukushima Diary SRL.

About 2 weeks have passed since I opened it, a letter came from Japan.

I don’t know if any other ones came but returned by some kind of error. If you have already sent out something, please let me know. I will check it with post office.

This is the address just in case.

OFICIUL POSTAL BUCURESTI 22 ROMANIA CASUTA POSTALA 110

This is all you need to write.

You are not supposed to need to write the receiver’s name. Also, the PoBox belongs to Fukushima Diary SRL, not me.

However, the letter from Japan was directed at my personal name, but it was successfully delivered.

Probably the postal rule is more generous than I thought.

If you try to send out something, please let me know after posting.

OFICIUL POSTAL BUCURESTI 22 ROMANIA CASUTA POSTALA 110

About this site

This website updates the latest news about the Fukushima nuclear plant and also archives the past news from 2011. Because it's always updated and added live, articles, categories and the tags are not necessarily fitted in the latest format.
I am the writer of this website. About page remains in 2014. This is because my memory about 311 was clearer than now, 2023, and I think it can have a historical value. Now I'm living in Romania with 3 cats as an independent data scientist.
Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
