[Column] Do you know we are all in the “hotspot” ?

I don’t want you to misunderstand this, I’m not going to quit updating Fukushima Diary never.

However when I stand in front of the mirror and ask myself, “Is this what you want to do for the rest of your life ?”, I hear someone say, “No, I don’t want to be stuck in it, I want to change the world more drastically like out of the box.”

Fukushima accident was a time altering event. We got to know we can no longer trust the government and mass media.
Now economy is “shrinking” in most of the countries, but I don’t think the entire human activity is stopping. I think the economical activity that can be measured by the traditional means is shrinking but the rest of the part without exchanging cash in traditional way is expanding.
I’ve travelled everywhere. What I’ve seen is money makes them poorer. It’s like training wheels. You can’t go further with them.
The world is trying to evolve. The old world is trying to stop the new one moving forward.
Fukushima Diary, other kinds of “whistle blowing” media and groups are in this “hotspot” between the old world and the new world.

In some countries, money is increasingly flowing into the art sector (investment). In this rapidly changing world, people seek something universal.
There’s one universal thing I can serve. It’s the spirit.

After 311, most of Japanese people got to know they were betrayed, I know. but they “surrendered” for all kinds of the reason. One idiot couldn’t let himself down. He re-calculated 100 times in his mind but still couldn’t think he was wrong. He left Japan and still flying the little flag.
This is I can serve you. If you are in America, it’s in the east. If you are in Australia or Asia, it’s in the west. You can see the little flag flying in Eastern Europe.

Recently some trolls thankfully came back to me. I grinned to know I got some point. They say, I’m selfish and irrational. Psychologically speaking, that’s how they describe themselves.
I donate a certain % of what people donated me. Am I selfish ?
The differences between my current life and my salaryman life are that the harder I try, the more I’m criticized now, and nobody tells me what to do and where to go.
However again, I’m not going to quit this. I’m looking for the chance to be something more influential than merely a blogger.

  1. Please do not sotp; your work bringing the light of transparency to the lies we are being told is as effective as any work you might otherwise be doing. We need to know, and not everyone has time to hunt down these articles. Thank you, a million thank yous, for what have done already. Please continue.

  2. You are a hero. I personally pass your information to at least 5 people everyday, and they also pass it on.
You are probably one of the ways we have hope. Without information, we would continue eating irradiated food, and die in 20 years time in a painful manner.
    We can’t survive without you.

theres so much i want to say but i doubt i could paw it out in words. it started yesterday when a so-called Danko Smith left a rather offensive remark in the CBOX of all places.. & that really stirred my mind up. i try not to take sides but it made it clear that once again “Ignorance Is Bliss” & i realize you must of taken serious offense as well since that is what this person intended.. & tbh (to be honest) i was surprised the comment was deleted within an afternoon.

as you can tell by now im not your ‘average thinker’ either. i read this D.Smiths simple paragraph & just wanted to rip it apart, but as u kno im into famous quotes there was sumthin like “Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.” by Buddha. this person who was calling you “self-centered” & such i wondered.. would a self-centered person go out of his way to do all of this? as you say to the mirror everyday. if it were your choice this ‘disastrophe’ would have never happened & you would have just been minding your own business along the soft steamy niku-mans in Yokohama Chinatown.

every modern life expects a certain ‘quota of happiness’ per day to justify their stay here, on this Godforsaken Earth. thats why we expect so much out of life.. we need 100 kinds of merits & licenses to surive, & even more to become something like a Nuclear Engineer. now that they have spent their whole lives promoting “The Wonders Of Nuclear Family Waste” & now to realize that was all One Big Lie.. its tough.. i actually feel pity for all of them. “The Innocent Japanese”. see because in our world, what to them was the most precious technician & graduate is now the lowest lifeform in our Spiritual Kingdom. its a fact of life.. a million happy moments just pass u by like a whirling dervish but all it takes is one tragedy, one unhappy moment to erase all of that.. that which is just as mysterious as the gravity that keeps us here.

most of all, what D.Smiths comment made me realize is this means War. Yes, this is War. my definition of War is “A battlefield where innocent people are sacrificed in belief”. people arent capable of unconditional love.. they mean no harm yet hurt others unconsciously. i for one am sick & tired of this.. squabbling over marginal gains in life.. sexist this facist that.. i’ll conclude this with my usual excuse being there is only 1 problem on this place called reality.. & that problem is God vs Goddess.

anyhow id like to keep babbling but will save my steam for now.

this is a radio documentary i really liked called “Souteigai”.. it was done by an actual old German man who lived in Kyoto but was away at the time of the Tsunami, then returned & did his selfless contribution to tour the contaminated zones to complete this documentary. its not the greatest documentary as alot of the actual japanese dialogue gets lost in translation, but i have edited the documentary many times myself & even added some nice BGM to it & have even come up with a Japanese translation for it & might post it here if there is no capacity limit to this reply box.

please check it out.. doubt the hotlink will work but here it is anyhow :

iori-san, i will attempt to translate this later into Japanese but as far as i have noticed your English has improved very much over the columns & it seems your determination to understand other countries & ways of thinking to be paying off. today i sensed much Light in your words & may the Truth keep marching on.

as for Trolls & Haters……… the worst has already happened & that is yourself.

    1. Dear Ziro, dear Iori,

I have not seen the hating comment of this D. Smith (the name alone tells everything, in a way). But let me add my two cents. Sometimes we all are tired of talking into darkness. In this darkness there are weirdos, there are meanos, their are a lot of lowly people only aiming to hurt.
I understand everyone in this world that wants to talk only to people from face to face. One person stating there stand-point, telling their view. To another.

I think all the loving, all the honest people will always care. They will always wait in a way. Put their efforts into things.

Just no one wants to have dirt trhown at them. In no way. There is a point everyone has to draw bottom line and evacuate. It doesn’t mean that honest people aren’t invited if they can build trust. Show their face, somehow.

I hope we all can save each other from that kind of heartbreak and suffer.

To all you honest parts of this, I hope you are alright. Don’t let yourself put down by anyone or anything.

  5. I think you write very well. Sometimes you are almost like a poet. You also have had a life like no one else. You have an amazing story to tell. I would like to see you write a book. You could reach many people that way, and perhaps earn a little money.

  6. Dear Friend,

I, too, keep abreast of all that you write and pass to us through your site. And I, in turn, broadcast your site to my inner circle. Thank you for this most invaluable service. Invaluable on so many levels and my thanks to you also on so many levels.

I have not read what this Mr. Smith wrote either but I get the general gist of his intent. IMHO, the more you are critisized, demeaned, degraded and generally called names, the broader and wider your message is being broadcast. When you awaken people some are very rude and grumpy over being awakened.

And remember. Every decision that is made by anybody, anywhere, any time… is made out of fear or out of love. Understand that most live fear based lives and how they express that fear has no bearing on you nor your invaluable service to humanity.

Lessons abound. What you learn nourishes your service.

    With Humble Gratitude,
    -Rick

About this site

This website updates the latest news about the Fukushima nuclear plant and also archives the past news from 2011. Because it's always updated and added live, articles, categories and the tags are not necessarily fitted in the latest format.
I am the writer of this website. About page remains in 2014. This is because my memory about 311 was clearer than now, 2023, and I think it can have a historical value. Now I'm living in Romania with 3 cats as an independent data scientist.
Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
