[Breaking] JP PM Abe took down the declaration of containment of Fukushima plant made by Noda in 12. 2011

At the Budget Committee of the House of Representatives of 3/13/2013, Japanese Prime Minister Abe took down the declaration of containment of Fukushima accident. It was made by the former Prime Minister Noda in December of 2011.

Abe commented, from listening to the local residents, it can’t be said that the accident was settled.

Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Motegi also stated, it’s still in the cold shutdown state, but the declaration of containment can be misunderstood as if it was already decommissioned.

Lors de la réunion du collectif budgétaire du 13 mars 2013 à la chambre des Représentants, le premier ministre japonais, M. Abe a abolit la déclaration de confinement de l’accident de la centrale de Fukushima. Elle avait été faite par le précédent premier ministre, M. Noda, en décembre 2011.

M. Abe a déclaré, selon ce qu’en ont entendu les habitants sur place, qu’on ne peut pas dire que l’accident soit terminé.

Le ministre de l’Économie, du Travail et de l’Industrie, M. Motegi, a aussi déclaré qu’on est toujours dans une phase d’arrêt à froid mais que la declaration de confinement peut être mal comprise, comme si tout était déjà démantelé

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
