3150 Bq/Kg from incineration ash of disaster debris

 

High level of cesium was measured from incineration ash of disaster debris.

406 ~ 542 Bq/kg

No. 2 blast furnace
2号炉
436 ~ 648 Bq/kg

Fly ash
飛灰
2398 ~ 3150 Bq/kg

It was a test incineration of Azuma east sanitary facilities union in Gunma, from 4/10~4/12.
A part of the debris was from Miyako city of Iwate.

これは群馬県吾妻東部衛生施設組合が4/10~4/12に行った試験焼却で、岩手県宮古市からのものをふくんだ瓦礫です。

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
