In the presentation to IOC, Japanese Prime Minister Abe stated the contaminated water is completely blocked in Fukushima nuclear plant port.

In the press conference of 9/9/2013, Tepco’s spokesman commented they installed the silt fence inside of the port, but it doesn’t stop radioactive water Tritium.

They said Tritium moves as seawater.

Tepco also commented Cesium-134/137 density can also be decreased to be 1/5 ~ 1/20, but can’t be completely blocked.

Tepco’s statement contradicts the official statement to IOC of Japanese Prime Minister Abe.

It is not verified what Abe was based on.

Lors de la présentation au CIO, M. Abe, le premier ministre japonais, a affirmé que les eaux contaminées étaient totalement bloquées dans la centrale nucléaire de Fukushima.

Lors de la conférence de presse du 9 septembre 2013, le porte-parole de Tepco a déclaré qu’ils avaient monté la barrière de boue dans le port de la centrale mais que ça n’arrête pas l’eau radioactive au tritium.
Ils ont dit que le tritium se comporte comme de l’eau de mer.
Tepco a aussi déclaré que la radioactivité en césium 134/137 peut également être réduite à entre 1/5 et 1/20 mais ne peut pas être totalement bloquée.

Les affirmations de Tepco contredisent la déclaration officielle faite au CIO par le premier ministre Abe.
On ne sait pas sur quoi Abe s’est basé.

    1. Thank you very much. I set “donation time” some time in the end of month. In the meantime, I removed the donation buttons etc..
      I will notify to restart accepting donation before the donation time again.

  2. Abe, why don’t you prove how safe it is at the plant by going for a PR stunt like swimming around the plant with other politicians that believe in how safe the water is now.

    People will see you swimming and then you can have a big feast of local seafood! This will help assure the people that everything is roses and buttercups now! Make sure you stay in the water for at least 1 hour, too. The longer the better to prove that you are very confident is your beliefs on how safe it is at the plant now and it demonstrates your extensive knowledge of nuclear science.

    Japan is not alone, in this regard. USA citizens are certainly accustomed to politician: stupidity, ignorance, inconsistency, corruption, lying, uninformed-bellicosity, betrayals, and buffoonery.     Unfortunately, this presently appears to be a Global Pandemic. So if a bit of deceptive salesmanship was employed to sell the Olympic venue, in all likelihood, no nations are bombed and nobody dies.

I am the writer of this website. About page remains in 2014. This is because my memory about 311 was clearer than now, 2023, and I think it can have a historical value. Now I'm living in Romania with 3 cats as an independent data scientist.
Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
