Following up this article..[Elephant foot ?] Tepco collected highly radioactive sediment in reactor2 PCV, “0.2 Sv/h of γ and β” [URL]

In the second TIP (Traversing In-core Probe) guide pipe soundness test, Tepco collected the same highly radioactive sediment again.

TIP is the sensoring system to monitor gamma and neutron.

They inserted the dummy TIP cable for 8.6 m into reactor2 PCV. The sediment was attached on the top of the cable.

It was 2~3mm, looks gray gold. γ dose was 14 mSv/h, γ & β dose was 30 mSv/h.

It is not verified what this substance is made of.

Au cours du second examen de fiabilité du tube guide du TIP (Traversing In-core Probe), Tepco a encore ramassé un peu de la même boue hautement radioactive.

Le TIP est le système de de capteurs qui gère les neutrons et les radiations gamma.
Ils ont introduit un câble sur 8,6 m dans le TIP de l’enceinte primaire du réacteur 2 (PCV2). La boue était collée à l’extrémité du câble.
Ça faisait 2 à 3 mm, d’apparence gris-doré. La dose en γ était de 14 mSv/h, les γ & β de 30 mSv/h.
On ne sait pas de quoi est constituée cette substance.
