2 quakes over M5.5 occurred twice around Fukushima offshore

2 major quakes happened around Fukushima offshore early in the morning of 6/16/2014, according to Japan Meteorological Agency.

 

At 3:19AM of 6/16/2014 (JST), M5.6 hit Ibaraki prefecture offshore. The maximum seismic intensity was 3 observed in the coastal area of Ibaraki and Fukushima.

Only 2 hours later, M5.8 hit Fukushima prefecture offshore (5:14AM of 6/16/2014 JST). The maximum seismic intensity was 4 in coastal area of Fukushima prefecture as well.

 

Tepco conducted the plant patrol from 5:27 to 7:05AM in reactor1 ~ 6 to report no abnormality was confirmed.

2 séismes de plus de M5,5 au large de Fukushima

 

2 séismes majeurs ont frappé au large de Fukushima dans la matinée du 16 juin 2014, selon la Japan Meteorological Agency.

Le 16 juin 2014 à 03:19 (JST), un M5,6 frappe au large de la préfecture d’Ibaraki. L’intensité sismiques maximale a été de 3 dans la zone côtière d’Ibaraki et de Fukushima.
2 heures après seulement, un M5,8 frappe au large de la préfecture de Fukushima (le 16 juin 2014 à 05:14 JST). L’intensité sismiques maximale a été de 4 également dans la zone côtière de Fukushima.

Tepco a procédé à des patrouilles dans la centrales entre 05:27 et 07:05 dans les réacteurs 1 à 6 et en rapporte qu’aucune anomalie n’a été observée.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
