1,184 people had food poisoning of norovirus in Yamanashi, patients may increase

By 12/23/2012, 1,184 people have food-poisoning of norovirus in Kai city Yamanashi.

It was caused by the delivery lunch box produced from 12/10 to 12/12 by the lunch box maker “Run Run lunch” located in Kai city.
Norovirus was detected from patients and the employee of the lunch box maker.
This lunch box maker was selling 3,800 lunch boxes a day, the total patients may even increase.

Le 4 décembre 2012, le Fukushima Diary avait rapporté qu’un variant de norovirus était en train d’exploser. [Lien]
Au 23 décembre 2012, dans la ville de Kai, préfecture de Yamanashi, 1,184 personnes ont une intoxication alimentaire à norovirus.

Elle a été provoquée par des plateaux-repas fabriqués entre le 10 et le 12 décembre par le traiteur “Run Run lunch” situé dans la ville de Kai.
Le norovirus a été détecté sur des patients et des employés du traiteur.
Ce traiteur distribuait 3 800 repas préparés par jour, le total des patients peut donc encore augmenter.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
