Tokyo opened Kasai seaside park beach / “but don’t soak your face”

On 7/15/2013, Bureau of port and harbor, Tokyo metropolitan government opened Kasai seaside park beach.

Due to the seawater pollution, all the swimming beaches were closed in Tokyo by 1964.

Kasai seaside park beach is the only swimming beach opened in Tokyo. They opened it just one day in 2012, but they will open the beach in every weekend until the end of August this year.

The radiation levels of the sand and seawater are not announced. Tokyo metropolitan government banned soaking face in the sea because sewage water comes in after the heavy rain. The reason of opening the beach is not known.

Le 15 juillet 2013, le Bureau des ports, le Conseil général de la métropole de Tokyo ont ouvert le côté mer du parc de Kasai aux baigneurs.

A cause de la pollution de l’eau de mer, touts les plages de Tokyo sont fermées depuis 1964.
La plage du parc de Kasai est la seule ouverte à la baignade dans Tokyo. Ils ne l’avaient ouverte qu’un seul jour en 2012 et ils vont la ré-ouvrir tous les week-ends jusqu’à la fin août de cette année.
La radioactivité du sable et de l’eau de mer ne sont pas communiqués. Les autorités de la métropole de Tokyo interdit de se mouiller la figure dans la mer à cause des eaux d’égouts qui y vient après les fortes pluies. La raison de l’ouverture de cette plage est inconnue.

They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
