JP Gov will start genomic analysis for Fukushima people

 

Japanese government is being cautious about the possible radiation effect on DNA.

On 8/30/2012, Hosono, the minister of environment commented they were going to start genomic analysis for Fukushima people.

Hosono stated to the press, he was going to start genomic analysis for the possible health problem in future though it may not reassure Fukushima people promptly.

It’s planned to start as of next year.The purpose is to analyze the radiation effect on human DNA.
They also plan to invest 6.1 billion yen on Fukushima medical university for the new facility of perinatal and pediatric medical care.

Le gouvernement japonais va lancer une analyse du génome des gens de Fukushima

Le gouvernement japonais devient prudent sur les effets possibles de la radioactivité sur l’ADN.

Le 30 août 2012, M. Hosono, le ministre de l’environnement a annoncé qu’ils vont commencer une analyse du génome de la population de Fukushima.

M. Hosono a affirmé à la presse qu’il allait lancer une analyse génétique sur les possibles problèmes de santé futurs bien que celà ne soit pas exactement immédiatement rassurant pour les gens de Fukushima.

C’est prévu commencer dès l’année prochaine. L’objectif est d’analysere les effets de la radioactivité sur l’ADN humain.
Ils prévoient aussi d’investir 6,1 milliards de yens dans l’université médicale de Fukushima pour le nouveau service médical pédiatrique et périnatal.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
