Idogawa Ex-Futabamachi mayor “I resigned because I can’t accept 20mSv/y standard. can’t take responsibility for future”

On 1/23/2013, Idogawa, Ex-Futabamachi mayor resigned.

In the interview with OurPlanet-TV, he explained that he resigned because he couldn’t accept the 20mSv/y standard of the government.
He stated, now Japanese government defines residents should go back if the integral dose is under 20mSv/y for the social and economical demand. However, it used to be 1mSv/y in Japan, which is also confirmed in the judicial precedent of the Supreme Court. Even in Chernobyl, if it’s over 5mSv/y, the area was defined to be mandatory evacuation area.
He also commented, he couldn’t let the residents go back to the town because he can’t take responsibility in case anything happens to their health in 25 years.

Le 23 janvier 2013, M. Idogawa, Ex-maire de Futabamachi a démissionné.

Dans l’interview à OurPlanet-TV, il explique qu’il démissionne parce qu’il ne pouvait pas accepter le standard de 20 mSv/an du gouvernement.
Il affirme que maintenant le gouvernement japonais définit que les habitants devraient rentrer si la dose intégrale est en-dessous de 20 mSv/an pour répondre à la demande sociale et économique. Ceci alors que c’est 1 mSv/an dans le reste du Japon, ce qui est également confirmé par les antécédents judiciaires de la Cour Suprème. Même ) Tchernobyl, quand c’est au-dessus de 5 mSv/an, la région est définie comme zone d’évacuation absolue.
Il a dit aussi qu’il ne peut pas laisser les habitants rentrer au village parce qu’il ne peut pas prendre la responsabilité de ce qui peut arriver à leur santé au cours des 25 ans qui viennent.

This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
