Emergency medical transport of Tokyo citizen at cherry blossom viewing spiking up

 

From 3/31/2012 to 4/7/2012, 36 people at cherry blossom viewing were transported for emergency medical care in Tokyo, Tokyo fire dep reported on 4/7/2012.
It’s supposed to be acute alcohol intoxication.
Cherry blossom viewing is a Japanese traditional activity to picnic around cherry blossom trees. They usually lie on the ground, have food and drink outside.

It was 20 people in 2010, 8 people in 2011. 36 cases is already as double as 2010 almost.

19 of them were in 20s, 4 were in 10s.
7 of them were serious enough to be hospitalized.
花見の救急搬送が東京で急増しています。東京消防庁が4/7に発表したところによると、2010年には20人、2011年には自粛モードで8人だったものの、今年は3/31から4/7午前までにすでに36人を超え、2010年の2倍近くに登っています。急性アルコール中毒ということです。
36人の搬送者のうち19人が20代、4人が10代でした。入院が必要とされた搬送者も7人いました。

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
