Another contaminated water tank found dripping / Tepco “It’s rainwater”

On 10/20/2013, a Tepco employee found a pipe connected to a contaminated water tank dripping from between the heat insulating material.

The dripped water spread over in 30cm×30cm×1mm area, it was dripping every 70 seconds.

All β density (including Strontium-90) was 1,100,000 Bq/m3, which was only 1/90 of what is contained in the tank.

Tepco claims it was the rainwater.

Le 20 octobre 2013, un salarié de Tepco a découvert un tuyau relié à une citerne d’eau extrêmement radioactive en train de goutter entre ses isolants thermiques.

L’eau qui goutte s’est étendue sur un carré de 30×30 cm sur 1 mm, il y avait une goutte toutes les 70 secondes.
La radioactivité β (dont le strontium 90) était à 1 100 000 Bq/m³ (1,1 millions), soit seulement 1/90e du contenu de la citerne.
Tepco affirme que c’est de l’eau de pluie.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
