2,700 Bq/Kg from tea leaves picked by elementary school students in Itabashi Tokyo

According to Itabashi ward government Tokyo, they measured high level of Cs-134/137 from the local tea leaves after having elementary school students pick them.

2 months after 311, 5/9/2011, elementary school students experienced tea-picking in a tea plantation within the ward.

However, they measured 2,700 Bq/Kg (Cs-134 : 1,300 Bq/Kg, Cs-137 : 1,400 Bq/Kg) from the processed tea leaves.

They were to give the tea leaves to the students but they abandoned the processed ones.

Selon les autorités de la circonscription d’Itabashi de Tokyo, ils ont relevé de hauts niveaux de Cs 134/137 dans des feuilles de thé local que les élèves de l’école élémentaire avaient ramassées.

Le 9 mai 2011, 2 mois après le 11-3, l’école élémentaire avait emmené des élèves dans une plantation de thé de la circonscription pour leur faire découvrir la cueillette.
Ils ont relevé 2 700 Bq/kg (Cs 134 : 1 300 Bq/kg, Cs 137 : 1 400 Bq/kg) dans les feuilles de thé récoltées.
Ils voulaient en faire du thé pour les élèves mais ils ont écarté celles récoltées par eux.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
