2,500,000,000,000,000 Bq of all β nuclides is still retained in the turbine buildings in total

Note : If you are from the international mass media, Don’t read this site before taking a contact with me.

From the report that Tepco submitted to NRA on 10/30/2013, the turbine buildings still retain 79,000 m3 of contaminated water, which contain 2,500,000,000,000,000 Bq of all β nuclides (including Strontium-90), 3,400,000,000,000,000 Bq of Cs-137, and 41,000,000,000,000 Bq of Tritium in total.

The report says the sampling date was in October 2013, but this data hasn’t been published on Tepco’s website for some reason.

I reject the international mass media to read this site without taking a contact with me.I know some of the mass media corporations read Fukushima Diary to understand the trend so they know when to report about Fukushima as if they were independently following it for a long time.
In short, they make you individual readers pay for this site while they pay nothing, and when they publish the “authorized news”, you pay for the “secondhand news”, which is nothing new for us.
This site is free for the individual readers, but not for corporations. In the world, this site is nearly the only source about Fukushima. I came here alone without any supporting organizations, background or anything. I’m not pleased to be exploited by the corporations that didn’t even properly report about Fukushima when 311 took place. I demand them to take a contact with me BEFORE reading this site whatever the purpose is.

  1. OVER 180,000 CPM?

AT 180,000 CPM Γ (Gamma), a human would die in seconds. Cockroach life would be measured in minutes. TEPCO photographs, taken from the overhead demolition crane (and TEPCO press releases) indicate that much of the FDU-3 debris has been cleared. Just how HOT is the remaining wreckage of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Unit-3? Little remains inside FDU-3, except perhaps (hopefully) the Spent Fuel Pool. Certainly the FDU-3 reactor, containment shell and concrete plug are missing, from the well-illuminated, open air photographs. Certainly the FDU-3 reactor fuel is scattered over a thousand square miles of Japan and the adjacent NW Pacific Pacific Ocean.

  2. Let’s just say that you probably could not drive to the front door of FDU-3, in a jeep, and arrive alive.

There would not be 1 second left, to just stand and look about.

A skydiver would die, before he could disconnect from his chute.

A cockroach inside a 20 cm thick, airtight LEAD (Pb) box, would die.

    FDU-3 is miserably HOT

      1. Diemos,

I do not care, if you go camping inside, what remains of FDU-3.

But, I might feel sorry for that cockroach.

        Sincerely,

        Bill Duff

  3. Exaggeration?

In about 1958, a SAC colonel delivered a nuclear briefing at Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, in Wichita County, Texas. SAFB is reportedly still the largest and most diversified training center in Air Education and Training Command.

The colonel said that if an unshielded nuclear weapon were on the ’50 Yard Line’ and we sprinted toward it, from the end zone. We would die before reaching the bomb and the flesh would fall off our bones. Perhaps the colonel was exaggerating. I never tried it.

The servo-mounted Heat Seeking missle display, tracking his cigarette around the room, was also kinda impressive to my young and impressionable mind.

    Sincerely,

    Bill Duff

    1. Wow. You’ll just make up anything won’t you. Knowing full well that 99.99% of the public doesn’t have enough knowledge of this topic to know what’s real and what’s not.

      1. Diemos AKA Village Idiot, V. I. DieMost

Earlier this year announced that he would visit Tokyo during the month of November 2013.

Perhaps the V. I. will enjoy the radionuclide flavored Fukushima Fish and other radiation exposure possibilities in Tokyo.

If, his travel plans were accurately described.

        Sincerely,

        Bill Duff

        1. I’m actually sitting in the united club waiting to get on my flight to narita as I type. I’ll let you know how it turns out.

  4. The lecture did not scare me. However, those German Sheppherd guard dogs hitting the fence did. And I had a German Sheppherd for a pet and pillow, from an early age.

That is why the Nun, painter and plumber walking up to the Knoxville Plutonium storage facility was a shocking event. The human guards could have all been asleep, but I assumed the guard dogs would have eaten those hippies.

We have ZERO nuclear security and ZIPPO border security in the USA. We do however have a massive amount of intrusive citizen surveillance.

    Sincerely,

    Bill Duff

  5. This V. I. DieMost ATTEMPTED Cover-up of Radiation Danger has a LONG history, in the USA. The Nipponese readers are more familiar with DETECTING such lies, as they have been eyewitnesses to nuclear history as well as repeatedly victims to radiation hazards. A significant portion of the USA citizenry has been insulated from this reality, by a steady stream of brainwashing propaganda.

Scientists and Research on the Effects of Radiation Exposure: From Hiroshima to Fukushima

    放射線影響の研究と科学者—広島から福島へ

The beginning of nuclear weapons policy and the cover-up of radiation damage

Research into the effects of radiation exposure from the nuclear fallout of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombs has been greatly distorted by U.S. nuclear policy and policies to promote nuclear power. Agencies such as the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR) have also failed to fulfilled their original role due to their subordination to nuclear policy, with the result that the social responsibility of scientists to bring to light the truth about the effects of radiation has not been fulfilled.

In September 1945 at the beginning of the occupation, foreign journalists came to Japan to investigate the situation. On 5 September 1945, the Daily Express printed a dispatch from journalist Wilfred Burchett which said, “In Hiroshima, 30 days after the first atomic bomb destroyed the city and shook the world, people are still dying, mysteriously and horribly – people who were uninjured in the cataclysm – from an unknown something which I can only describe as the atomic plague.” On the same day William H. Lawrence of the New York Times reported, “The atomic bomb still is killing Japanese at a rate of 100 daily.”

About this site

This website updates the latest news about the Fukushima nuclear plant and also archives the past news from 2011. Because it's always updated and added live, articles, categories and the tags are not necessarily fitted in the latest format.
I am the writer of this website. About page remains in 2014. This is because my memory about 311 was clearer than now, 2023, and I think it can have a historical value. Now I'm living in Romania with 3 cats as an independent data scientist.
Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
