On 9/12/2013, Tepco announced all the 12 tanks are leaned in the tank area that went through the land subsidence (0.08 % ~ 0.51 %).
The tank that leaked 300m3 of contaminated water experienced the land subsidence in this tank area with 2 other tanks and the concrete base also had the crack.
From Tepco’s investigation of 9/4 ~ 9/9/2013, the soft humus and clay layer was found underground of the tank area.
The weak stratum became thicker around the tank that caused 300m3 leakage.
All the 12 existing tanks are leaning toward this weak area that had the land subsidence.

Le 12 septembre 2013, Tepco a déclaré que les 12 citernes de la zone qui s’est affaissée se sont toutes inclinées (de 0,08 % à 0,51 %).
La citerne qui a fuit les 300 m³ d’eaux extrêmement radioactives en faisait partie ainsi que deux autres citernes qui ont également présenté des fissures dans leur base en béton.
D’après les investigations de Tepco du 4 au 9 septembre 2013, on trouve la couche d’humus léger et celle d’argile en sous-sol des citernes de cette zone.
Cette strate faible est plus épaisse autour de la citerne qui a fuit les 300 m³.
Les 12 citernes de cette zone de faiblesse se sont inclinées dans le sens de l’affaissement.
