Tepco pays 500 million yen to 5,000 management class employees for increasing rate of leaving → Only 51 quit actually

Tepco is going to pay 100,000 JPY to every employee in the management class on 7/22/2013. There are about 5,000 employees in the management class in total. The sum of the money would be 500 million yen.

After nationalization, the management class employees had their salary cut off the largest, the rate of leaving their jobs is increasing according to Tepco.

However, it was actually only 51 employees who left since 311. Tepco’s spokesman answered the question of a freelance journalist in the press conference of 7/19/2013.

They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
