Cs-134/137 density in reactor3 seawater became the highest since last year

On 7/15/2013, Tepco also measured the highest reading of Cesium-134/137 in seawater since July of 2012.

The sampling location was reactor3 screen (Inside of silt fence). Cs-134 density was 350,000 Bq/m3, Cs-137 density was 770,000 Bq/m3. It started increasing on 7/13/2013. Cs-134/137 density jumped up to be 13.3 times much within 2 days.

They detected the highest reading of all β nuclide and Cs-134/137 on the same day in the same location. It is assumed that these are from the same source but Tepco hasn’t announced contaminated groundwater is flowing to the sea.

Le 15 juillet 2013, Tepco a aussi relevé le record en césium 134/137 dans l’eau de mer depuis juillet 2012.

L’échantillon a été pris à la grille du réacteur 3 (à l’intérieur de la digue de limon). La concentration en Cs-134 est de 350 000 Bq/m³, celle du Cs 137 de 770,000 Bq/m³. L’augmentation a commencé le 13 juillet 2013. La concentration en Cs 134/137 a été multipliée par 13,3 en 2 jours.
Les records en β nucléides et en Cs 134/137 ont été relevés le même jour au même endroit. On pense que ça provient du même endroit mais Tepco n’a toujours pas dit que les eaux souterraines extrêmement radioactives s’écoulent dans la mer.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
