Cs-137 : 15.3 Bq/Kg
Iodine-131 : 20.0 Bq/Kg

[Note] Every time they detect cesium-134/137 and iodine-131 from snow/rain including this case, some people comment it’s just Pb-214 and Bi-214. More analysis is needed. (1/23/2013)

Measurable I-131 means its still spewing fresh radioactivity all over Tokyo. That’s very bad news.
The samples were collected in jannuary 2012, not 2013. Therefore, it only means I131 -and other related melted cores aerial emissions- were still occuring last year, which invalidates the “cold shutdown” the japanese govt. told us about in its statement on december 16 of 2011.
iodine at 9 months out, was 36 weeks or about 35 half lives later,
i’d guess that this was continued low scale emission 9 months after the event, because otherwise,
the emission densities were 80 Billion BQ/KG.
i think that would rip the flesh from your bones.
but continous emission meant they were getting flares or spikes, and that’s a bad thing too.
