Comparing to Ukraine, the ratio of healthy children in Saitama will be only 6% by 2033

Mr. Kowaka, the chairman of NPO Safety of our foods and life analyzes the contamination situation of Saitama city is the same as Ukraine from the field research conducted from 9/24 to 10/4/2012.

In Ukraina, the ratio of healthy children was 22% in 1992, and it dropped to be 6% in 2008, when 22 years have passed. The ratio of children with chronic malady increased from 20% to 78%.

He researched ,among the monitored schools in three regions, the lowest radiation level was 0.03 ~ 0.10 μSv/h, which is the same level of Saitama city. In other 2 schools, it was 0.09 and 0.12 μSv/h.

Also, in these schools, 60% ~ 70% of the students have pain in legs, 20% ~ 80% of the students have headache. He analyzed it’s from internal exposure because of contaminated food.

The local people have mushroom as a replacement of meat, which takes up 5% of food.

However, their food contained only 10Bq/Kg at average, which is just 10% of Japanese safety limit.

Additionally, the local rye contained less level of radioactive material than wheat produced in Saitama 2011.

  1. Not only the background radiation levels affects children health.
The fact that the clouds from Fukushima explosions came to Saitama is the most important contributor to children’s health impairment.
This fact is not taken into account in this study.
Worst, Fukushima is still emitting gaz and clouds of radionuclides today and cities are burning wastes that contain radionuclides.
Maybe they do not appear much in the background radiation levels, but these gases are deadly in the long term after they are inhaled by people. And these gases are flying around Japan everyday, slowly killing many in the long term.
So Fukushima is in a worst position than revealed by this study.

  2. In the case of Chernobyl, a sarcophagus was built over the destroyed reactor. This sarcophagus (but only the sarcophagus) prevented and is still preventing the deadly gases of radionucldes to fly out and around ukraine belarus, russia and eventually the world. In the case of Fukushima, this is not the case and gases emitted by any of the reactors or any of the pools and are poisoning people today.

  3. this fails to add the soil contamination, sucking radioactive filtering like a sponge from the crippled nuclear plant to the whole Japan

About this site

This website updates the latest news about the Fukushima nuclear plant and also archives the past news from 2011. Because it's always updated and added live, articles, categories and the tags are not necessarily fitted in the latest format.
I am the writer of this website. About page remains in 2014. This is because my memory about 311 was clearer than now, 2023, and I think it can have a historical value. Now I'm living in Romania with 3 cats as an independent data scientist.
Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
