Ministry of foreign affairs to invite 10,000 youth from 41 countries to do tasks including removal of debris

Ministry of foreign affairs of Japan is going to invite foreign youth to disaster area.

One of the tasks that they are supposed to do is removal of disaster debris.

 

平成23年度第三次補正予算事業「アジア大洋州地域及び北米地域との青少年交流(キズナ強化プロジェクト)」は,アジア大洋州地域及び北米地域の41の国・地域から青少年を我が国へ招へいし,交流プログラムや被災地視察,ボランティア活動等を実施するとともに,被災地の青少年をそれぞれの地域へ派遣することを通じて,日本再生に関する外国の理解増進を目的としており,平成25年3月末までに,招へい,派遣を合わせ,1万人以上の交流が予定されています。

 

Japanese government launches the Youth-Exchange Project with Asia-Oceania and North America(Kizuna (meaning “bonds”) Project). Under this project, more than 10,000 youths from 41 countries and region are going to have an opportunity to participate in the related programs. This project is a part of Japanese reconstruction plans and aims at promoting global understanding of Japan’s revival efforts in response to the Great East Japan Earthquake. The project was approved by the Japanese Diet as a part of the third supplementary budget in November 2011.

Le ministère des Affaires Étrangères nippon est sur le point d’inviter des jeunes étrangers dans la région dévastée.

Une des tâches qu’ils sont supposés avoir à faire est le nettoyage des débris de la catastrophe.

Le gouvernement japonais lance le Projet d’Echange de Jeunes avec l’Asie-Oceanie et l’Amérique du Nord, le Kizuna Project (Kizuna signifiant “liens”). Dans ce projet, plus de 10 000 jeunes de 41 pays et régions vont avoir la possibilité de participer aux programmes liés. Ce projet fait partie de la campagne de reconstruction japonaise et vise à promouvoir une compréhension mondiale des efforts de renaissance du Japon après le grand séisme de l’Est du Japon. Ce projet a été approuvé par le parlement nippon (la Diet) dans la troisième révision budgétaire de novembre 2011.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
