1100 Bq/kg from dried mushroom sold in west coast of Japan

Agricultural products are still harvested in disaster area and shipped to less contaminated zone.

According to the food measurement report of Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, 1100 Bq/Kg of cesium was measured from dried mushroom. It was made in Iwate prefecture, where is about 254 km from Fukushima plant.

It was found in Niigata prefecture. Though it was over the safety limit, it was already shipped and sold.

 

Test date : 9/14/2012

Cs-134 : 420 Bq/Kg

Cs-137 : 670 Bq/Kg

Total : 1100 Bq/Kg

Les produits agricoles sont toujours récoltés dans la zone de la catastrophe et expédiés dans les zones moins contaminées.

Selon les mesures sur les aliments du ministère de la Santé du Travail et des Affaires Sociales, 1 100 Bq/kg de césium ont été relevés dans des champignons séchés. Ils venaient de la préfecture d’Iwate qui se trouve à environ 254 km de la centrale nucléaire de Fukushima.

Ils ont été trouvés dans la préfecture de Niigata. Bien qu’ils soient au-dessus de la limite de sécurité, ils ont été conditionnés et vendus.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
