[2012]Tepco monitored seawater contamination 10 mins before they “found” the leakage, 850,000 Bq/m3 of Sr-90 detected

Having significantly high level of radiation detected in the seawater, Fukushima Diary researched past sea contamination data.

There have been countless numbers of contamination water leakage. It is not announced the total amount of radioactive material leaked to the environment.

In March 2012, Tepco had the major leakage at the desalination system. Highly contaminated water leaked to the sea nearly for 4 hours. (cf, 1.4×10^11 Bq/m3 of beta nuclides leaked to domestic sewage system [URL])

In this accident, Tepco announced only γ nuclides density to have leaked from the system. (Cs-134/137, Sb-125)

However the report of Nuclear Regulation Authority mentioned Strontium-90 and all β nuclide level in the seawater.

The report was published on 7/5/2013. It is not known when they published the data for the first.

It reads 850,000 Bq/m3 of Sr-90 and 17,000,000 Bq/m3 of all β nuclides were detected from seawater.

For some reason, Tepco collected this sample 10 minutes before they found the leakage.

Le Fukushima Diary a recherché les anciennes données de contamination de l’eau de mer après que de graves niveaux de radioactivité aient été relevés dans l’eau de mer.

Il y a eu d’innombrables fuites d’eaux contaminées. Ils ne donnent pas la quantité totale de matières radioactives qui ont fuit dans l’environnement.
En mars 2012, Tepco a connu la fuite majeure dans le système de désalinisation. Des eaux extrêmement radioactives se sont répandues dans la mer pendant près de 4 heures. (cf. 1.4×10^11 Bq/m3 of beta nuclides leaked to domestic sewage system)
Au cours de cet accident, Tepco a seulement donné les concentrations en γ nucléides ayant fuit par le système. (Cs 134/137, Sb 125)
Or, le rapport de la Nuclear Regulation Authority parle de strontium-90 et du niveau de tous les β nucléides dans l’eau de mer.
Le rapport a été  publié le 5 juillet 2013. On ne sait pas quand ils ont publié les données la première fois.
On y lit que 850 000 Bq/m³ de Sr 90 et 17 000 000 Bq/m³ pour tous les nucléides β nucléides ont été relevés dans l’eau de mer.
Tepco a fait cet échantillonnage 10 minutes avant qu’ils ne découvrent la fuite.

Actually, nothing has progressed in the plant since 2011. We still don't even know what is going on inside. They must keep cooling the crippled reactors by water, but additionally groundwater keeps flowing into the reactor buildings from the broken parts. This is why highly contaminated water is always produced more than it can circulate. Tepco is planning to officially discharge this water to the Pacific but Tritium is still remaining in it. They dilute this with seawater so that it is legally safe, but scientifically the same amount of radioactive tritium is contained. They say it is safe to discharge, but none of them have drunk it.
